Just Stupid is a book that has 9 stories about stupid things the main character Andy does. He  does some of these stories with his best friend Danny. My favourite story of the nine is Runaway pram where Andy and Danny are walking around and find a pram with all this baby stuff in so Andy puts on the baby wear and Danny pushes the pram with Andy sit in it. They start to walk around and Danny lets go of the pram and Andy goes with the pram on a crazy journey.I like this book because it’s funny in the way that it use words and there are pictures on the outside that are like little comics that are related to the story. My favourite passage ‘’This is it.The big one.What a stupid way to go. Sitting in a pram wearing nothing  but a pair of undies.’’ I would recommend this to 9-13 year olds.

Diary of a wimpy kid the long haul is a book about a kid named Greg Heffley who goes on a road trip with his family that his mum came up with. It starts OK but very quickly runs into many problems which in turn makes it a road trip from hell.Greg’s older brother Rodrick is a person who finds the lazy way out of doing things and isn’t smart,his younger brother Manny is a kid who that if he doesn’t get his way he cries throw a tantrum until he gets his way,Greg’s mum just wants her family to be together and be happy together and his dad cares more about his work then his family. What I liked about this book is that there are pictures in between the words and the way it is was written made it funny. I think people between the ages of 9 and 12 would enjoy this book.

Would you do it again and why?

Yes because it was fun, exciting and engaging and it worth our time because we can include our community again to watch the races.

 

What differences made our chariot win?

I think that the clear bottle Sphero holder so that we could calibrate it without having to go out and take off the holder plus rubber wheels and that the overall building of the chariot is what I think made us win.

 

For the entire project, what do you believe could be added, changed or removed?

Something that could have been added is more decoration in the middle or if the walls of the track be stronger. Something that could have been changed is if the rope could have been wooden blocks because the chariots kept getting stuck or flip on it. I think there is nothing that should have been removed.

 

Were we successful in advocating “powerful” 21st century learning? Elaborate.

I believe that we were successful in advocating powerful 21st century learning because that we learnt how to drive the sphero ourselves and we then taut others how to do the same and I feel like the experience of driving a Sphero will stay with them for a long time.

 

Did we connect with our community in a meaningful way? Explain your answer.

Yes I do think that we did connect with our community in a meaningful way because that we invited the two other classes could come and watch the races. We taught all of the classes in the school how to use a sphero and we did parents and other children to come and play with the sphero.

Tall charlie topples over as he went around the tight turn.
